Lake Norman is not a city. Rather, it is an area that is made up of the towns (and closeby unincorporated areas) that are located in four different counties that surround the lake. The towns include Huntersville, Davidson, Cornelius, Denver, Sherrills Ford and Mooresville, located in the counties of Mecklenburg, Catawba, Lincoln and Iredell. Lake Norman is located north of Charlotte and south of Statesville.

The Huntersville Herald is a small newspaper publication that primarily focuses on news & events occuring in and around Huntersville, which is located north of Charlotte and is considered part of the Lake Norman area.

It has proven to be somewhat accurate in some cases - but don't believe everything you see on there, as some of the information can be misleading (in my opinion).
